Full Spectrum Doula

I first discovered my calling as a doula in college, during a developmental psychology class where we watched The Business of Being Born. Something about it clicked. I’d already been working as a nanny for years and had always felt at home caring for little ones and supporting families. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about birth and in the middle of the pandemic, I signed up for a birth doula training.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology and Education, I spent a few years as an infant teacher. I loved being with babies and toddlers every day, watching them grow and learn in those early, precious months. But that pull toward doula work never really went away. Eventually, I found my way back by becoming a postpartum doula—supporting families during one of the most sacred and vulnerable times of their lives.
This is where I am meant to be— supporting families in any way that I can. Whether that is being with them through childbirth, helping them navigate postpartum, or supporting them as a nanny.

My professional journey includes being an infant teacher, a doula, a nanny, and a substitute teacher. I also have worked with organizations like Perinatal Support Washington and Open Arms Perinatal Services to help uplift postpartum support. Each experience has given me the gift of connecting with families in unique and meaningful ways.

I believe in approaching families with non-judgment and compassion. You are the expert on yourself and your needs and I am here to lend a helping hand. My goal is to provide a shoulder to lean on as you navigate parenthood.

In my spare time, I make visual art (mostly drawing and ceramics) and take film photos. I also enjoy running and practicing ballet.

I am based in North Seattle and would love to connect.

Warmly,
Savitri Mann
